Uchiwa Ota-ya

This handcrafted bamboo fan features a graceful goldfish in a paper-cut-style design.
The goldfish motif is cut out, allowing red yukata fabric from the reverse side to show through, gently evoking the motion of swaying fins in water.

The contrast between the vivid fish and soft green background creates a cool, summery feel.
Carefully made by hand using traditional Boshu Uchiwa techniques and supple medake bamboo.
