Uchiwa-Making Workshop

At Uchiwa Ota-ya, we offer a hands-on Uchiwa-making workshop (reservation required), where you can experience the traditional craft of fan-making.
If you are interested in participating, please call us in advance to inform us of the number of participants and your preferred date and time.

Workshop hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
Activity: Participants will make their own Uchiwa by attaching paper to a bamboo frame.

Fee: ￥8,800 (tax included)

Up to four fans can be made per session.
For example, one fan per person for a group of four, or two fans each for two participants—the breakdown is flexible as long as it totals four or fewer.
For additional fans beyond the fourth, an extra ￥2,200 (tax included) will be charged per fan.
